Robot is the boy. Jay is his cat. West is the girl. Lola is her Bullmastiff. These are the stories of how we found and raised another good canine citizen...we hope. Introducing Ryder Roman, Robot's Cane Corso puppy.

A dog blog has jumped the shark.

Unfortunately, Wayne was indeed the Jump the Shark character for Raising Ryder. Robot has become far too busy to post, and I, West, no longer live with Robot and Ryder.

But if you're interested in a new puppy, Raising Ryder starts here. And if you like that idea, click on the month of February 2005 and scroll all the way to the bottom and work your way up. Then go to the next month and work your way up.

But I do have new, canine-related problems. Post Katrina and Post Wayne, I decided that it was time to fill the new pet slot. I wanted that new pet slot to go to a dog that would possibly have a tough time finding a home. An older dog.

So I guess that's how I found myself on the couch with a snoring Bullmastiff and ... are you ready for this ... A CHIHUAHUA tucked ino my armpit.

I rescued a seven year old Chihuahua from the Illinois Doberman Rescue. He's wee. He's in love with me. He's treat agressive and tried to kill me over chicken. Luckily, he's like, four pounds. But oh how I love him. Read how I put my money where my sidebar is, at here .

Thank all of you, ever so much for following Ryder, Robot, West, Jay and Lola's progress. You have no idea how honored I am to have people ANGRY with me for not posting. I hope you'll follow me on my journey with my tiny rescue Dave, the Anti-Chihuahua.

Robot, West, Jay, Lola, Wayne, Ryder, and Katrina, all thank you profusely. We hope you all find your way home.

SIGNS THAT I PICKED THE RIGHT FOLKS FOR WAYNE:

1) They carry him around like a tiny Chihuahua too.
2) They're having a Kitty Shower.
3) They gush about him to mutual friends.
